ACP — aluminium composite panel — is the most widely used facade cladding material in the UAE. A thin aluminium skin bonded to a composite core creates a panel that is lightweight, rigid, durable, and available in almost any colour and finish. Diamond Step® supplies and installs ACP cladding across Dubai for new commercial facades, building renovation and re-cladding, feature walls, signage fascias, and interior feature panels.

We exclusively use FR (fire-retardant) grade ACP cores that meet UAE and DM fire safety requirements. All panels are finished in PVDF coating or anodised aluminium — both engineered to resist Dubai's UV exposure, salt air, and temperature cycling without fading or delaminating.

PE (polyethylene) core ACP has a plastic core that is combustible. FR (fire-retardant) ACP has a mineral-filled core that is significantly less combustible and does not contribute to fire spread in the same way. UAE building regulations and Dubai Municipality require FR or non-combustible core ACP on all new commercial buildings above certain heights. We only supply and install FR-grade ACP.
PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) coating is the premium exterior finish — highly UV-resistant, colour-fast, and long-lasting in the UAE climate. Anodised aluminium provides a natural metallic finish. Both are available in any RAL colour, wood-effect, stone-effect, mirror, or brushed metal finishes. We can match virtually any colour or produce bespoke finishes for architectural projects.
PVDF-coated ACP installed correctly with proper subframe drainage and perimeter sealing typically lasts 20–30 years in the UAE without significant colour fade or delamination. The aluminium skin is inherently corrosion-resistant. The main maintenance requirement is periodic cleaning to remove dust accumulation and inspection of silicone perimeter seals every 5–10 years.
Yes. ACP is commonly used for interior applications including reception feature walls, column cladding, ceiling soffits, and retail fixture backing. Interior grade ACP does not need the same weather resistance specification as exterior panels, which opens up a wider range of finishes and thinner panel options.
