A frameless glass door with matte black hardware — minimal, elegant, and perfectly suited to modern UAE interiors.
Frameless glass doors strip a door back to its essentials — no timber frame, no aluminium casing, just a panel of thick toughened glass held by precision hardware and opening with effortless silence. We specify them across UAE luxury villas, home offices, and commercial interiors wherever the brief calls for clean lines, maximum light, and an unbroken visual connection between rooms. Diamond Step® installs frameless glass doors across the UAE, internal and external, in hinged, pivot, or sliding configurations.
Types of Frameless Glass Doors
Frameless Hinged Glass Door
A solid glass panel hung on two or three concealed or exposed glass hinges, with a pull handle or push plate on the face and no other visible hardware. Standard opening widths run 600mm–1,000mm, with heights of 2.1m–3m. It's the frameless glass door we install most often in UAE residential and commercial interiors.
Frameless Glass Pivot Door
This door rotates on a top and floor pivot hardware set, usually offset from the edge, so it sweeps open in one dramatic movement rather than swinging on a fixed side. We install it most in entrance vestibules, home office entries, and between living areas in UAE luxury villas, with panels up to 1.2m wide and 3m+ tall.
Frameless Sliding Glass Door
The panel runs on a top-hung track with a bottom guide, so there's no door swing to plan around. It suits spaces where a swinging door would eat into the room — ensuites, wardrobes, study-to-living connections — and moves silently thanks to a soft-close damper.
Hardware Options for Frameless Glass Doors in UAE
- Brushed stainless steel — classic, durable, versatile with all interior styles
- Matte black — the most popular finish in UAE luxury villas in 2024. Bold contrast against white walls or marble floors
- Brushed brass / brushed gold — warm, premium. Popular in designer-specified UAE interiors
- Chrome — traditional, reflective, most affordable
Hardware must be rated to carry the full weight of the glass panel — typically 25–60kg for a standard door — since there's no frame to share the load. We specify hardware from established brands (Dorma, Biloba, Bohle) rather than unbranded imports, which matters most in UAE conditions where heat and humidity punish weak fittings over time.
Glass Options
- Clear 10mm toughened — standard for most internal frameless doors. Maximum transparency.
- Clear 12mm toughened — for wider or taller doors, or external applications
- Frosted / satin toughened — privacy with light transmission. Popular for bathroom and dressing room doors
- Low-iron (ultra-clear) glass — removes the slight green tint of standard glass. Premium clarity.
