A large share of Sharjah's villa stock dates to the 1990s and early 2000s, and single-glazed aluminium frames from that period have usually corroded at the corners and lost their seals by now — heat, dust, and street noise get through even when the frame still looks sound from a distance. Diamond Step® takes out the old glazing — windows, doors, partitions, balustrades — and fits modern, energy-efficient replacements sized to the original opening so the installation stays quick and clean.
Diamond Step® has carried out aluminium and glass renovation work across Sharjah since 2006. Each project is templated on site and fabricated at our Al Sajja workshop before our own certified team handles the install — nothing subcontracted out. Once the old glazing is stripped out and cleared away, what replaces it is usually double-glazed or Low-E glass, which makes a noticeable difference to heat gain and outside noise. Sliding door tracks are usually the first component to fail on these older systems, so we inspect and replace worn rollers and track sections as standard whenever a sliding door is part of the renovation, rather than fitting new glass into hardware that will keep sticking.
No Sharjah Building Control Department (SBCD) permit is typically required for renovations that retain the existing opening sizes.
